Tracking new posts Empty Tracking new posts

Post by tomi1000 Thu Jul 26, 2018 3:22 pm

If I want to see what new posts have been made since my last visit - I look for the highlighted widget in front of the title, right? But this happens......... I will open the forum, go the diaries and see new posts as indicated by the widget. But if I close the browser before I've looked at all the new posts, then when I return, the new post indicator is not highlighted. Everything just has the DOT in front.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Yes. You only get those notifications for the current visit. Also, if you stay logged in for a certain amount of time (no idea how long) those indicators go away too.

Agree.
When I log on and want to see all the new posts, across
all the forums, not just in one forum area, instead of selecting a specific forum on the home page, just click the "view posts since last visit" link that is just above the shaded list of Forums.
The returned list of topics is in newest first order. If a topic has more than one new post, it only shows the most recent one.
