7 Herbal Alternatives to HRT

I am looking for thoughts, advice, personal experience with regards to the different supplements mentioned in this MDA post:

I tried alternative therapies without success. I am on bioidentical progesterone pills and an estrogen patch. Both at low doses and it has made all the difference in the world. I went off them with the breast cancer scare, but after the bilateral mastectomy found no new areas of abnormality, I was cleared to start them again.

Not really the same thing as you are facing, but I found a product called "Menosense" by Womensense makes a HUGE difference to the frequency and intensity of my hot flashes. It has a mix of herbs, including black cohosh. I found that black cohosh on it's own, didn't help much.

Pre-menopause, I found that evening primrose helped with some PMS symptoms.

IMHO, I feel how well herbals work is very individualized.

When I had all my struggles, I tried many things and nothing seemed to do the trick. Then again I wasn’t primal then and not sure if that would have made a difference or not.
