I'm still walking. I haven't had a day, yet, where I haven't met my goal. I just keep on keepin' on. Most days I far exceed my goal but then days like today where I am feeling a bit tired and under the weather I make my goal and let myself rest.

Okay, my usual workout is, all supersets:

Goblet squats - 35lbs
RDL - 95lbs

Fast jump rope until I miss and then...

Arnold presses - 25lb dbs
Bench press - 55lbs (my bench sucks ass!)
V-sits or whatever they're called when you balance on your butt, lean back then come back up to a sitting position.. knees bent up to your chest.. dunno.
Dumbbell bicep curls - 25lb dbs
Bench dips

More jump rope until I miss

Walking lunges with 30lbs 3X8 each leg so 16 walks.. Jump rope between each set.
Seated quad machine.. not sure what it's called.. 55lbs - 3X8

Seated cable row - 70lbs 3X8
Underhand lat pulldown -100lbs - 3X5

Decline bench (for abs) w/ 25lb plate - 3X12
Side bends with 25lb plate - 3X8

Bunch of jump roping throughout the entire the routing. I usually come home with 3K steps, just from the gym - no other cardio there.

Okay, so the other day I was tired of my routine, so instead of the squats, rdls and lunges I did clean and presses just the bar, 45lbs 3X8- good mornings - 3X8 bar with 20lbs so 65lbs and then "some" Bulgarian split squats, bodyweight only... maybe 3X5 cuz those are a BITCH.

That was last Sunday.. plus all the other stuff I usually do besides the stuff I said I already cut out..

Ladies and Gentlemen, Mother was f*cking CRIPPLED until yesterday (Friday).

WHAT THE FRESH HELL.

So of course, with my DOMS addiction, I'll be doing that again today... LOL!!!

Tuesday - my favorite day of the week! Walk to the climbing gym, meet spouse, climb for about 90 minutes, then take the long way back to the office. I usually get in 8-9 routes, including 4 or 5 lead climbs, and about 3 miles walking.

Today was a metcon type strength WO put together by DS. Feeling stronger. Finally I can get up into a side plank and hold it for a min of 20 sec. In Aug, just trying to get there was a struggle and today my arm was on the bosu. Loving the feeling of getting stronger.

Great progress! I love bosu work. We've been talking about designing and building another house forever and a major feature of said house is the exercise room. I've long said the first thing I will buy for that house is a bosu!

Sorry should have defined Metcon. I hope google gave a good answer of Metobolic Conditioning. Basically a tibatta type WO. DS does 4 stations for me and we use 30 or 40 sec for rep length depending on the exercises. Very similar to the effect of HIIT, as you wind up with a bit of cardio while doing strength moves.

Traveling again. Delayed in Atlanta. Each lap of the T concourse is 1795 steps. 3 laps so far. Just delayed another 2 hours, so time for more laps.

There was a beer between laps 2 and 3, so it might all be a wash.

Yup, that's a LOT of steps. Most people just lounge round the airport, so you are way ahead of the game, even taking into account the beer.

Posted this in my journal earlier this month and have done it pretty much daily since finding it; when short on time, instead of my usual routine (which varies throughout the week/month/year), more often in addition to it, mostly as an active pause to free the mind and simply move. Smile
Think it's a good basis to build upon for most and thought I'd share here too for those that rarely check out the diary section. Makes it easier to find too. Cool

About 2 weeks ago I added a stationary bike ride every day to the workout/movement activities to get more consistent cardio, while following Maffetone recommendations (staying at or below 180-age). This week's schedule is 30 minutes each day, with 14/13.7/14 kilometers so far on Mo/Tu/We. 14 km is 8.7 miles. Smile

30 kilometers in 60 minutes on the stationary bike. That's 18.64 miles.

Pretty steady results for only having started riding the bike a month ago, bicycling nearly every day, starting relatively slowly then, building up to 60 minutes rides since last Saturday, even if I say so myself. Very Happy
