Son did a fabulous veg prep. Stir fry was great on GF rice ramen noodles.

That is nice of your son to be your prep chef.
If only I had one of those I'd eat better I swear. I am lazy in the kitchen.
Have fun at the home and garden show. There is one locally (somewhat) that I could attend this weekend too.

Hope the reduced dose is helping.
Any good deals at the home show?
I love cooking with my kids.

Re: Every day remains a wandering road
Home show was okay, we did get a roof inspector connection to come out to assess if we really need to reshingle, and then give a quote if it does. Also one for some concrete leveling outside our front steps/sidewalk and where the sloped driveway meets garage floor. 2 for one deal on bamboo sheet sets too. And I found a lovely thank you gift for my Capt for when she moves this year.
I’m still sleeping too much, have no energy, no motivation and feeling very blah. Consequently feeling down on myself for all of that. Low appetite. No interest in shopping or cooking today, probably will just dig around the fridge/freezer and come up with something. Very frustrating feeling this way. Hope I’m able to be up and settled early enough to get to and enjoy spa day and massage on Tuesday. The intent is to spend an hour or two enjoying the heat/cool/rest cycles before the massage at noon, perhaps grab a light lunch and repeat the saunas/pools/rest for the afternoon.

The home show sounds like it yielded some good finds.
I hope your spa day goes well.

Learned that a distant relative was one of the victims of this tragic accident in Saskatchewan this weekend. Distant cousin of family of an uncle who married Mom’s sister. True tragedy. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/humboldt-broncos-crash-victims-1.4609856

I did think of you when I saw it one the news the last two nights. I'm sorry you had a relative involved. Sad for all the families.

Not someone I knew personally, but a horrible tragedy foe the community and all involved. All so young and full of potential. Apparently a go fund me page has raised nearly 4 million since Fri night to help the families. Incredible. Some of the survivors apparently have significant spinal injuries, so will be needed.

I was horrified when I heard of the accident, so many young lives lost.
I hope you truly enjoy the spa day tomorrow.

Crazily enough, there was a mix up by the coroner, it was another boy, not my remote cousin that died. One of the boys donated organs to 6 people. Over 6 million raised via go fund me, some of those will need it for rehab and much more. The rest will be in the hands of the team organization.

Still sad, but great that 6 people could be helped. I am sure the coroner is appalled by his mistake.

Spa day tomorrow. Looking forward to it. Then see my doc on Wed to reassess the med situation and sick leave . Seriously, I don’t feel ready to return, at least until the med taper/new med get sorted out. Is that bad?
Went to Costco today, a 90 min event left me completely exhausted, while experiencing either a major hot flash or anxiety related lightheaded sweaty experience in the middle of it. And it was only moderately busy...

No it's not bad to want to wait until the med taper/new med is sorted out. I think it's common sense.

I'd put a mark in the win column for your Costco trip.

Re: Every day remains a wandering road
Spa was quite lovely. Several cycles through the heat/cold/rest cycle, then Swedish massage. Prefer deep tissue, but was very relaxing. All together I was there between the saunas, pools, light lunch for over 5 hours. Hubby was working from home today, so drove me there and back. Just 5 min away from home.
See doc tomorrow afternoon. Still overall feeling very down, will discuss new med regime and whether I need more time off or not. I truly have no idea at this point.

Glad spa day was relaxing. IMHO, yes you need more time off until the meds are titrated to you. Just a thought, and I know you are not ready to go there, but you may need to consider if going back is in your best interest medically.

Appreciate your thoughts. And I’ve considered the concept you mention. Will see where things are tomorrow. Not necessarily what I want, but perhaps be what’s in my best interest. Hell, don’t know at this point. Had an email and voicemail from the person who controls posting/movement of nurses into all positions for an update on my circumstances, whether he needs to consider replacing me this year or not. Waiting to reply after my doc appt tomorrow. Also updated my nurse case manager (who basically oversees all things on the path to medical release), so will see what she has to say back.
So end of day, lovely spa time, feeling exhausted (should have burn in bed an hour or more ago), had some teary moments, and wasting time watching The Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix. Wonky day.

Happy to hear your spa day was enjoyable.
I too agree the meds need straighted out before returning to work.

Re: Every day remains a wandering road
Short story, 2 more weeks of sick leave (all paid time, fortunately), keep meds at same level and see both psychologist and psychiatrist next week to sort out a plan for the meds, but was told to expect a slower taper. See GP in 2 weeks to reassess work/leave/gradual return to work situation. I’m greatful for the support. Emailed my boss, he just says get well soon and let him know if there’s anything he can do to support.
Must focus (or try to) the next 2 weeks to return to some sort of a routine and not be a total slug. Would start with going to bed at a normal time (930-10ish) so even if I need extra sleep, it’s still going to waking up before the day is half over.

Re: Every day remains a wandering road
Working in it, Pedi.
Also need to start doing the 3x weekly exercises from the rehab exercise specialist, which I can do at home and have had no motivation to do. And perhaps an outdoor walk here and there as the temps are hovering just over freezing and much of the snow is melting. But supposed to get 2-4 cm tonight
Made a soup in the IP tonight, whatever veg were in the fridge plus 5 diced beef burger patties from the other day. Garlic, onion, celery, carrot, salt, thyme, rosemary, oregano, baby bok choi, beef, tamari, fish sauce and a few red pepper flakes. Should be ok.

I’m glad you are going to get more time to heal and get meds lined out. It is a process.
