I had a massage on Monday and getting my hair done is actually relaxing as she does a ton of scalp massage. This coming Tuesday I have a spa appointment for a pedicure and facial. I got to spend the day at the university with DH on Thursday and go out to lunch and dinner with him. I have also been focusing on eating well and not having any wine at home. I have made time to do some reading for pleasure every day. I have not been pushing myself to do everything, have moved things around on my schedule, and have focused on only doing what must be done.I think I am doing a good job at self care.

As DDIL1 says, "It is Fat Boy Friday!" Philip is 5 pounds 7 ounces and is 16 inches long. He is eating almost 2 ounces and is bottle or breastfeeding every other feeding. He latched for 28 minutes today. He needs to get off of oxygen and he has another eye exam next week.

Wonderful news with dear Philip. He is right on schedule or maybe even a tad ahead. Awesome.

Happy to hear of all your self care and leaving some things instead of trying to do it all.

Have an awesome weekend.

Thank you, Annieh, PPam, and NM. Yes, he is a bit ahead and now has 2 feet out the door. He needs to be bottle or breast feeding every feeding to go home. It would be nice for him to be off oxygen but it is not necessarily a must.

Sleep: 7-13, awake 1-49, REM 1-13, light 4-58, deep 62m, ss 73 (F). I could have slept longer, but mom's pup needed to go out. We had a cold front come in yesterday, so today we will get a high of 70. The day started in the 50s.

I'm off to campus in a bit. It is the last day that the MSN students will be on campus. I have several work projects to work on while I am there. I will probably make a full day of it leaving at 4. I am looking forward to no alarm clock tomorrow.

I am starting meatballs in the slow cooker before I leave for dinner.

Stuff with the students went well. We had serval NPs come and help. It was nice to have lunch with them and talk.

I got several student's folders ready for advising next week. I also got most of the 2nd 8 week classes set up to go. I left campus about 4:30. I do get to sleep in tomorrow, but I have stuff I need to get done, so it will not be a free day. Sad

He's obviously in denial as he's still a small baby... Very Happy Glad to read & see he's recovering so fast and hopefully will be going home soon.

*fingers crossed* Ditto on the final weeks for the other expecting DIL.

LB - he is actually bigger than Lily was at this time.

NM - the pups got me up earlier than I really wanted. We are cool at 63, but it is a welcome relief from the humid 90s. We will get to the 80s this afternoon, though.

Shelley - Yes, we all want him out of the hospital and home where he belongs.

Sleep: 8-0, awake 1-18, REM 1-43, Light 5-43, Deep 43m, SS 78 (F). I had wine and I am seeing the same trending as NM.

I moved some stuff around so I just have my weekly announcement and getting Wednesday's lecture ready. I will not be giving the lecture as SWMBO has drafted me to go with her to look at simulation labs at two local universities. She did not mention it until Friday, so of course I had to reschedule several faculty evaluations that had been scheduled.

I am going to get 1/2 of the massive amount of potatoes I got in the CSA box processed as twice baked potatoes. We will have some with our dinner of steak tonight.

I also need to do a quick clean up of my closet and laundry after dinner. Then I can set out outfits for Monday and Wednesday. I also have to pick clothes and pack for the state wide Dean and Director meeting in Austin Thursday and Friday. I am driving both of us up, but she is flying out to DC Friday after the meeting ends. I will see Felix for lunch and his flu shot and then drive home.

Thanks, Tomi. I did sneak in a 90 minute nap, that went a long way to helping me feel more alert and oriented. I got the lecture put together, posted for students, and emailed to the faculty who will cover for me Wednesday. I did a quick clean of my closet and to my clothes ready for tomorrow and Wednesday. Laundry is in the washer. DH got held over at work, so I moved steak to Tuesday, as he won't be home for dinner tonight.

TW -- haha. They haven't caught up number wise to Pedi's # of DS.

Glad you could rearrange your schedule and get coverage. Goodness.

Sleep: 5-39, awake 51m, REM 43m, light 3-59, deep 57m, ss 63 (F). I was in deep sleep when DH woke me up dropping his phone. Went back to sleep and was in REM dreaming when my alarm went off. Needless to say it is taking longer than usual to get moving.

I am showered with hair partially dry. I will finish getting ready after I post this. I have some student advising, a faculty evaluation, and a meeting on the books. I have several tasks that I want to complete around everything that is scheduled.

Leftovers for dinner.

A packed week I see. Glad you got that nap.

I too woke while in REM this morning and wow that is always so tough.

I too hope your time spent with SWMBO is a decent one. Don’t forget to hit record on your phone if things seem iffy. You can always erase.

Hugs

Sleep: 6-14, awake 1-43, REM 67m, light 3-12, deep 1-55, ss 57 (P). Other than the length of sleep, it looks pretty good to me. I would have rated it Fair.

Running by a friend's clinic to get my flu shot and pick up 2 for DS2 and Felix to get when I see them Thursday for dinner. I have not told SWMBO that I will not be having dinner with her. I also have not asked how she is getting to the airport Friday, as I am meeting Felix for lunch.

I have my much rescheduled spa appointment for a pedicure and facial today. I have some odds and ends to take care of on my list. Picking what I am going to pack is the big must do. Dinner is the rescheduled steak meal.
