Sleep: 5-43 of restless sleep. I was up too late as I just could not unwind. So far no plans for today as DS1 is off on the weekends. I am having a slow start to the morning and then I will reach out to see what the plan is.

I have some stuff I need to do for work - 3 students failed the retake of the medication exam, so I need to put one in the computer for them. I need to do some work on rubrics and get the final university evaluation stuff done.

So heard from DS1 and they just finished taking Lily to the NICU reunion party. A friend is taking Lily, while they go see Philip in the NICU. I told him to take DDIL1 out for a mini date and we will get together tomorrow. I will use today to get caught up on stuff and get some rest.

I spent the evening with Lily so DS1 and DDIL1 could spend time with Philip

Lily is gorgeous!  What a smile.  Glad you had that one-on-one time with her.

Philip looks peaceful.

Nothing like being granny.  so many worries though.

My 2nd grandson was put into the hospital with meningitis about day 10.  I drove to VA on Christmas Eve to take care of my oldest GS while they spent time at the hospital.  It was difficult seeing GS2 with an iv in his head.  We were there for Christmas as were many other families.  My GS2 has no lingering problems.  Glad his mama was right on about his issue.

Thanks, PPam. Lily is a fire cracker. She does not know how to slow down.

Sleep: 10-8, awake 1-50, REM 3-3, light 5-46, deep 1-19, ss 76. Apparently I was too restless to score higher. I had a hard time going to sleep, so was up late reading. Woke up with a headache.

No real plans today. I think I am going to the hospital with the kids so I can see Philip. I'm hoping I can hold him while I am here.

Wow, somehow I missed some of your posts. SWMBO is really a peace of work. You take a vaca, but not really because all you do it work. I too wonder if she ever does anything from home.

So happy you are finally with Lily and Philip and the kids. I’m sure finally getting to see him was such a blessing.

Try and take some time to just enjoy and not worry about work for a change.

Sleep: 10-0, awake 1-36, REM 3-26, light 4-43, deep 1-51, ss 83 (good). I know I woke up about every 2 hours and am really surprised I got a higher sleep score.

NM - I am only doing what I must for work while I am in EP. The next 5 days I have Lily from 1pm to 8pm at her house. So I will not be able to do anything for work during that time. I probably will take my book and maybe throw some paperwork in my bag in case she naps and I have a bit of free time.

Look out world! Lily is here! And Philip is not far behind! He looks great.

I can understand wanting to live in the Hill Country, that is lovely. But EP might be good for now. In reading over your posts, it seems that SWMBO does have a mental health issue and there is nothing that anyone except her can do anything about it. Or perhaps she is a classic example of the Peter principle and has risen to her level of incompetence and it has driven her off the cliff.

Relaxing as much as I can, Tomi. Lily and I came to an understanding today, so I think the next few days will go okay. She even took a 3 hour nap for me!

TW, I hate to diagnose adults, but I do agree with a MH diagnosis. I also know that she has had documented flaky behavior in the past.

Lily and I survived today.

Philip is OFF CPAP and is now on a fancy machine that gives him high flow oxygen with no pressure. His oxygen needs are almost at room air. He gained weight again.

I'm glad for you that the Lily time is also off-work time. Philip is making great progress.
I just hope your desk at work isn't 3 ft high in paperwork when you get back to it.

Pedi -- I somewhat recall my first overnight with my GSs. Heck that was 27 years ago now! Wow. It was a total shock how much time they needed. haha.

Getting Lily to nap was a great idea.

So happy for Philip and his new breathing equipment.

And, need I mention? Mom and Dad.

Rig - I'm getting slammed with emails and things to do. I try and clear out as much as I can before taking over Lily.

Yes, PPam I wish I could bottle her energy!

Sleep: 7-34, awake 1-38, REM 1-28, light 5-21, Deep a miserly 45m SS 71. I knew I had not slept well during the night. I kept waking up.

Finally got Lily to nap, so I am catching up on what I can for work and pleasure.

YEAH Philip! That is wonderful news.

So happy you are enjoying your time and able to clear out a little of the email you’re getting, but so wish you could ignore it.

Have an amazing day.

DS1 took the day off to burn some of his comp time, so I get an unexpected day for myself. I packed a face mask, so may do a mini-spa day in my hotel room. Very Happy

Sleep: 7-42, awake 2-0, REM 40m, light 6-29, deep 33m, ss 63. Woke up with a headache, which is why DS1 took the day off. I feel bad, but am appreciative that he could.

I plan on doing as little as possible today.

When I woke up from nap and meds, I felt much better Tomi and NM. I got the syllabi I needed to complete done & submitted and the 30 question post lecture quiz in. Did some email housekeeping and helped another faculty launch an exam that was not cooperating for her. All in all a really low key relaxing day for me.

Up way to early after about 3 hours of restless sleep. I really thought I had done at least 5 hours.

I looked at the exam results and they are fairly good. I had to reset the attempt for one student and now need him to complete his so I can release grades.

Even though I've had a cup of coffee, I think I may try to get another couple of hours of sleep. I don't know why, but if I get up and moving when I can't sleep, I usually am sleepy after an hour or so and can go back to sleep. Maybe it is because I've dealt with something nagging at my mind...

I did get some more sleep. I am missing all of the rain at home. This time DH is holding down the fort as he was on his days off when it started. This is the street in front of the house and apparently the backyard is a lake. DH joked that he had to do a swift water extraction of one of the dogs in the backyard.
