How do I learn about Primal?
Updated 12/28/19 to reflect changes in MDA website.
This thread is aimed at the true “newbie” to Primal. So if you are looking to improve your overall health, maybe lose weight in the process, and want to improve your LGN factor (looking good naked) this should help get you going in the right direction.
You will find that Primal Blueprint is significantly more encompassing than just changing your diet. It is very important that you develop a good understanding of what should be involved before you jump in. The best way to do so is spend some time reading what the founder of PB has to say on the topic. I recommend that you spend a fair amount of time building your understanding before you jump in.
The site for all things “Primal” is https://www.marksdailyapple.com/ There is also Primalblueprint.com which also has some information, but primarily is a sales vehicle for Sisson's line of food and supplements
The guy behind the Primal Blueprint is Mark Sisson, he is now in his 60's and in his younger days was a top flight marathon and triathlon guy. Don't let that scare you off – he's radically changed his view on achieving good health since his days as an elite jock. The web site is a multi-faceted animal, and the guy in the pictures is Sisson, with a remarkable physique for a guy his age. At the top of the home page is the “Latest and Greatest” which links into his daily blog of food recipes, medical analysis, other Primal topical interest articles. As of this writing, he has a new book focusing on Ketosis, and his recent blogs are heavily focused on Keto. Please note that the Primal Blueprint does not require Keto, and you shouldn't need to address keto, maybe never, but certainly not in your initial efforts. If keto is something you want to explore though, there is a lot of information available by clicking Keto on the top menu bar of the MDA home page.
When you go to the site, click on the "Primal Lifestyle" then from the selections shown, click on "new to primal, start here" The displayed page will give you a good overview. After reviewing this page, click "The Primal Blueprint 101" on top right under Helpful Resources which takes you to the Primal Blueprint 101 page: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-blueprint-101/
Read everything in “the Basics” section. It is a lot to go over, but I really encourage you to get as informed as you can before you launch.
After that, just review what's interesting to you in the “definitive guides.” Note that Sisson has written a variety of books explaining the Primal Blueprint, recipes, etc. He also runs a supplement outfit and a food company and his stuff is available for purchase on the site. But is not shoved at you. All the key information about the program is free on the web site, just not as tightly packaged as his books are.
On the PB101 page, you can also sign up for the free newsletter. This is supposed to also get you a 92 page E-book, but some folks haven't been able to get the e-book. This link will give it to you (thanks LB):

No longer available on MDA as of 12/27/19: The MDA forum has been removed, after being closed to updates for several years. You can try and find its replacement on Facebook.

There is also a podcast for endurance athletes and can be found at http://www.primalendurance.fit/podcasts/ New content for endurance is now included in the Primal Bluprint Podcast site but you may want to look into the older ones that are available here
