Bariatric Surgery Empty Bariatric Surgery

I know this is off the wall and not primal but I didn't have anywhere else to put it.

Does anyone here have any experience with bariatric surgery/bypass surgery?

My SIL had it done at the end of December. We are hosting her birthday on Saturday this weekend. I think we have the main course down so she can enjoy some of it. But I am struggling with dessert. I have found some recipes out there but nothing has spoken to me. I am thinking of making poached pears with Greek yogurt and pistachios. This is a fail-safe as I've made it before. But I would really like to make something more special but still in her allowable foods and restrictions.

She needs low sugar and no "bready" stuff.

Anyone have experience with this? Suggestions?

My friend who has had the surgery said sugar free jello. Laughing I suggested sugar free chocolate mousse and she said that would work.
