Has anyone in America noticed this? Our family has complained for months about how hard the butter now is.

We use mostly Ghee now. But I haven't noticed anything about the butter being hard even at room temp.

I have not noticed any change. I rotate through different brands depending on where we shop when I need butter. They cover US, Iceland, Ireland and France. There is probably enough difference among them that I would not notice change over time.

I generally get Kerry gold bricks and they are definitely not hard at room temp. I also get some other's from Ireland and they too are soft on the counter. I have not noticed a change in the ones I purchase.
