Talk to me about alcohol
What's your drink of choice? And why?

Tend to head to red wine, however I love a good margarita, if made properly they are done w/o sugar/sweetener. YUM

I love wine (mostly reds), whiskey and rum. Beer, too, but I shouldn't drink it as often as I do.

Red or white depends on my mood and the weather. Occasionally vodka/cranberry or a good dry martini.

None. Beer is the only alcoholic drink I would want regularly, and it messes with my digestion so I don't drink it. When I see people who have wine with dinner, I will have a glass. When champagne comes out for special occasions, I will have a glass.
Newer evidence suggests that moderate alcohol use was oversold.
It’s time to rethink how much booze may be too much

I like scotch, especially Islays. For those unacquainted with the different Scotch-producing regions and their taste characteristics, Islay scotches are known for their extremely smoky flavors, which come from the peat fires used to dry the grain before distillation. The best buy for the money I know of is Laphroaig Quarter Cask, though for a few more bucks I also like some of the Ardbegs, like Uigeadail.
Yes, not being able to pronounce anything you're drinking is part of the fun.
I also like gins for more casual sipping, sometimes on the rocks.
I'm not a big drinker though. Can't remember the last time I've had more than a single shot's worth in an evening. Contrary to my old habits, I now drink alcohol completely just to enjoy the taste.

I love, love tequila, and it seems to like me
Wine has never worked well for me, I don't get a good feeling from it, though I like the taste of good wine.
But I have found that alcohol of any sort really disturbs my sleep, and kicks my neuropathy pain into high gear. So yes, I would have to agree that alcohol, even in small amounts, can really be a toxin for many people. I only drink about once or twice a month now, it's not worth the pain.
