Thanks GFoA. It was a bit crazy. Cold for 2-3 days and then back to mid-70s. Tomorrow back into 30s.

Paper is graded out of 100 points and is worth 20% of the final grade. If they wait to turn it in on Thursday before the final the maximum grade they can earn is a 65.

Spa was relaxing as usual.

Made the pecan chocolate paleo truffles for the Dean. Put all the stuff for BBQ chicken dip in the slowcooker. Will heat it up before the pot luck tomorrow. I think I'm as organized as I can be.

Getting ready to do the last collaborate with my Patho students. It went well. I'm glad I'm done until January.

This is so cute... you're the most organized person I've ever encountered PD, online as well as IRL. And that's a compliment, as it clearly works for you.
I understand it's your way of dealing with everything and an absolute necessity in your life, but also happy that you schedule fun times too. sunny

I'm tempted to ask for the recipe for the truffles... then again... Cool

Up way too early, but have to be on the road in about 45 minutes or the trip will take forever due to traffic. I am happy to put these up before the sun days behind me.

It is in the mid 30s this morning and will get into the 60s. Yesterday I was runing around in a short sleeve t-shirt. Not today.

Hoping everyone has a fantastic day!

I love her site. Must try the delectable Umami Burgers.

Here, in Cali temps have gone as high as 85,but, after sun goes down definitely sweater time as temp continues down to mid 40's at night.

Got 7 papers graded. I'm down to 6 that I have and 2 that I don't. I will have the ones I have done before the final tomorrow, so the students can get them back.

First meeting of new committee went well. We will be setting Doctoral Policies.

Pot luck went okay. There was meat, cheese, fresh veg, deviled eggs, and my BBQ chicken dip that I could eat. We did a white elephant gift exchange. What I brought was snatched several times until it couldn't be taken again. Dean was most appreciative of truffles.

Got my packages sent, so I don't have to worry about it getting crazy busy.

It certainly is nice when there are eats at social events that follow our plan.

Here's to your work break coming up!

60s could be tshirt weather here, lol.

Remember to take some self care time, in the midst of all the work and family things. In some ways, you’re quite similar to hubby, with his very type A activity. I was like that when at the bedside, but not so much in personal life.

I have a massage scheduled for Sunday. Next week is working on the house and getting it back into shape. I will finally work on my office (those of you who read my previous journal know I have been procrastinating cleaning it basically since I finished my Ph.D.). We have friends coming and I would be embarassed to show it as it is.

Great sleep and I got to sleep in until 8 am, which was still an hour earlier than I had to get up! I love slow lazy mornings.

After I finish here, I am grading the final batch of papers that I have. Still have 2 outstanding ones. If they turn them in before the final exam this afternoon, I will grade them during the exam. If not, they will get a zero.

Leftovers for dinner tonight. DH has a late meeting, so I might just stay and finalize my exams so I can turn in the grades. I was going to do it tomorrow. I will play it by ear.

I'm sure you're happy the semester is done. Not sure why someone would choose to lose out on so many points toward their grade. Hopefully you can finish before going home and have a relaxing evening.

In my experience, "no show" things like the missing papers are likely people who figure they've already locked in their F and why bother if they can devote time/effort to another course where they have a chance to make a difference.

One turned in 4 out of the required pages and the other chose to not turn it in.

And yet they took the final. Didn't matter they both did not pass.
