I do miss baking.  All baking be it Paleo or convential is not good for me.  i can't control myself with it, so i've had to give it up.

Happy to hear you can do it without much issue.

Grok on my friend!

I make one thing with GF flour, that way I get something and it's limited.

The loaves look wonderful.  I love to bake but I don’t dare.  I made an apple cake with almond flour and unfortunately it was delicious!

Yes, I remember all of those times!  And you obtained another Ph.D!

The funny thing about the Felix picture is it is the right way on my iPad and sideways on my laptop!

I got my first treadmill session in and walked an equivalent amount of steps at the farmer's market, so decided I did not need a second treadmill session.

The Farmer's market has room to grow. Only one vendor with produce. Several farms there with local beef, pork, and chicken. Also a kumbucha booth, which I might try next month. Picked up a chimichuri sauce, some chicken tiki marsala, and chicken empanadas made with corn flour. The empanadas are fantastic.

Got a power nap in, now it's time to grade some papers and start some more baking. Still need to swing the sledgehammer.

Thanks TW and Tomi. We think they are pretty special.

Baked 20 dozen chocolate chip cookies. They are all packaged up and ready for DH and I to take to work tomorrow. I still need to make truffles, GF banana bread, and some GF chocolate chip cookie dough drops to freeze. Will work on that list tomorrow evening.

I got a bit of arm work in. Got all the breads in the freezer. Busy week ahead, but after about 3pm Saturday, I'm done with the semester and off for 3 weeks! santa

Kathi your kids are adorable

Well I made paleo scones yesterday with the pumpkin bread for the neighbor who brought over venison chili, let’s just say the scones are gone, I gave 2 away. Not good. I will refrain from further baking.

You have been busy.

Glad someone wrote about Lily. When clicking the orange button one does not always start at the last entry read. Sad

Lily is so cute.

You are the wonder woman of baking. Your friends and acquaintances are blessed.

lol! thanks, but they are my grand kids.....my youngest is 24 and is on the right in the picture of the 4 of them at son #2's wedding last spring.  They lined up oldest to youngest for some reason.

Have you tried freezing the scones.  I'd wrap them individually and freeze.  Then you can take one out as a treat every now and then.

Thanks LB and PP. They are both growing so fast. We are lucky that they will both be here for Christmas.

If I give the baked goods away, I do not eat them......

Fair sleep last night. Woke up about 2:30 and was awake about an hour before drifting off until about 6:30. Got around 6 hours last night.

I am going to do my 30 minutes and some arm work before I get ready to go to work for a meeting this afternoon. 4 dozen of the cookies are going with me.

I plan on grading 8 papers in batches. I need to do some research to hold up my end of the deal with my research partner.

After dinner (today is a low calorie fast day for DH, so leftovers and a BAS for him and a fast day for me), I will try and finish up my baking. I still need to make the chocolate pecan paleo truffles for my boss, GF banana bread (I've got a ton of frozen ripe bananas from when DH was doing smoothies to use up), and make up some GF cookie dough to freeze to bake later.

Starting the day in the 40s and finishing with a high in the mid-70s. I get to dress fairly casually today. Jeans and a soft plaid top are in order.

Kathi - oh I thought about freezing some of the scones, it just didn't happen. I'm a stress eater from way back and well, with the computer issue etc it never happened and they were so darn good. First baked good since before Last Thanksgiving. Nothing all year.

Ok, well your big kids are still as adorable as you grandkids. Smile

I only have 2 DS 30 and DD 23. No grands yet. DS is married, but DDIL went back to school.

Hopefully the grading and research went well today.

Thanks NM. I put on most of my weight stress eating my way through 3 stressful clinics and pediatricians and added to it with my 1st doctorate. Took some off and kept it off during 2nd doctorate. Now trying to get the last of it off. Some days the struggle does not seem worth it! Rolling Eyes

Cookies were appreciated. Meeting went well. Got 5 papers graded. I'd have done more if the 3 students who had not turned them in had done so. Met with my research partner. I feel like a slacker, but I don't have any real time until next week.

Should be quite easy to grade the 3 "no shows." Back in my collegiate days, missing a deadline was a guaranteed "F." If you had a good reason to be late, you had to get it agreed to in advance or it was "too bad, so sad."

Youngest is the one with the flexible yoga girl friend?

Slow start today. I got gifts and cards ready to take to faculty and staff tomorrow. Have out of town gifts ready to drop off to send tomorrow. Got myself organized for tomorrow as it is an early start day. Made DH's dinner (measured out amounts for low calorie fast day) for tomorrow. Started Mexican chicken in the slow cooker. Avoided the treadmill as I just don't want to do it today. Getting ready to go for a spa day.

Both the snow and the loaves look fantastic! Smile A light dusting of snow would be really nice, just a reminder really that it's actually winter. (I live near Tampa FL so it's not very likely!). It sounds like you have a lot of awesome going on.

Great job on the papers and yeah agree with Rig on late papers. Seems like that's eased up. Of course that all depends on how many points it was worth to start with.
