Tonight will be grilled lamb chops and asparagus, with a chimichurri/gremolata type sauce (parsley, cilantro, lemon, garlic scapes, olive oil). Followed by CSA strawberries - 4 quarts this week.

Re: What's for Primal Dinner? 2.0
I made the most delicious lunch side today. We had some left over grilled mini potatoes from yesterday's dinner. I quartered them, boiled up a few eggs, and cut up some avocado and added some onions, fresh chives, salt, pepper, red pepper, and mayo. Tossed it all together and ate it with some peameal bacon. It was delicious! It was basically a grilled potato, avocado salad.

Re: What's for Primal Dinner? 2.0
This isn't specifically for dinner tonight but for many nights in the near future. Hubby bought a pork loin and cured it and then coated it with ground yellow peas. By the way - did you know that peameal bacon doesn't REALLY have corn meal on it but ground yellow peas? Most commercial meat packers use corn because it's easy and cheap but it's not the correct way to do it.
Anyway......
Anyway......

Great pics Ontario!
Too bad there's no picture for us Ekba... it sounds very tasty.
Perhaps someone could/should start another thread with lunch ideas/BAS?
Pork tenderloin is resting in the marinade... to be served as satay (grilled) with peanut sauce... so not Primal, but oh so good.
Update: I did not have any peanut sauce (and only ate about half of the basmati rice on my place):

^This looks good but I give up, what all is on the plate? I see a sweet potato, but is it sausage? Is it green beans or maybe okra?, and what's under the white sauces?

I think the white is poached eggs.

Like mine. Thanks for the link. I remember it from your MDA signature; it's nice to have it here too.

This would make a nice thread... guess the foods on the plate.
Thought it would be obvious, but apparently not.
On the plate are halved baby tomatoes (with s/p/EVOO/herbs/garlic), baked potato cubes with paprika, chicken breast fillet with an Andalusian spice-mix * and buffalo mozzarella (torn with fingers instead of sliced with knife) with some EVOO drizzled on it.
*cumin, coriander/cilantro, smoked paprika, black pepper, fennelseed, oregano, aniseseed, laurel & parsley.

Certainly not obvious to my eye, but then I've never been accused of being overly observant.Thought it would be obvious, apparently not.
Thanks for the itemization, it confirms my initial "looks good"

Lovebird....how big is that plate? I am asking out of curiosity. I often realize my portion is too big and always wonder how much others are eating.

It's 23 cm/9 inches, most of our (older) dinner plates are. Old fashion size it appears as the newer white dinner plate I occasionally use is 27 cm/10.6. I prefer to use the smaller ones, unless we have guests.

Lovebird, you seem to have lots of vegetables and interesting combinations of them.
I never would have thought of pairing celery with cauliflower, nor of mashing them. How was it?

Thanks. We do eat plenty of veggies and like to vary them to keep meals interesting & tasty.
That's probably because it was celeriac (celery root) instead of celery ... cooked & mashed with cauliflower or white potatoes... very nice to pair with game meat.
Also tastes great when served with Parmesan.
