Sleep: 7-53; awake 1-10; REM 1-19; light 5-58; deep 36m. Not nearly enough deep.

I am glad I brought the scale, as it did a bit of an upward blip. I ate more fruit than usual yesterday, so will take that as feedback from my body.

Today, I will change hotel rooms - hopefully to a small suite.  DH will be here at 1 pm.  We will have until dinner tomorrow by ourselves.  Then we will have Felix.

I have graded, answered a ton of emails, and plan on reviewing the summer 2 classes and a syllabus today.

No idea where dinner will be, but I will have some type of salad with chicken.

Pedi, do you seem to land in the same place when you diet? I do. Just wondering. I am 5'2" (about) and weigh 145. I would rather be smaller but the scale seems to like this weight.

Your work progress sounds good. Glad you could work while awaiting DH and the ability to spend time with the birthday boy, Felix.

Right now my body thinks it likes where it is, but it is not healthy and it needs to let go of some fat. It has been years since I dropped below 170s. I am now very close to the 150s. I am going to keep pushing my body to let go of fat and put on muscle, know ing the muscle will weigh more.

I like that notion. I will say it surprises me a bit that I'm below the weight for my height and age. I consider myself to be of normal/average weight.

Interesting chart, I never saw one like that with age factored in.

I’m just under 5’1 now, used to be 5’1 1/4. I’m aiming for where I was after that awesome W30 at 132. I’ve got a way to go. 159 this morning.

Have fun with DH today.

No chart is perfect. It just gives you a spot to aim for. Good for you being below.

Have a good day Pedi.

You made me laugh too PPam. Not nearly as far as I have to go NM.

The range for me is pretty broad, 126-158. I will just keep doing what I know to be healthy and see where I land.

Sleep: 7-48; awake 61m; REM 1-18; light 5-50; deep 40m. I really feel the decreased deep. I am doing melatonin and a cup of chamomile before bed, but am wondering if I need to add something else or do I just chalk if up to being in a hotel. I have not had wine since about the week after Easter.

I was hungry yesterday before bed. I "snacked" on what I had brought with me and used all of my daily points for the first time in a long time. Reflection and review of my tracking showed I had not had enough protein during the day, so I made sure to get up in time to get breakfast this morning - scrambled eggs, salsa, low-fat yogurt, fruit, coffee w/stuff, and coffee w/almond milk (7 points total). I also snagged a couple of hard boiled eggs for later.

No plans for today until dinner with Felix and parents. I probably should review the courses for the 2nd 8-weeks as I keep putting it off. Partly because the more I get nagged to do it the less I feel like doing it. I absolutely hate being micro-managed especially by someone who is not my supervisor.

May get DH to go to one of the outlet malls nearby. That would involve an opportunity to get in lots of steps. I'm not really shopping for anything yet since I have stuff that either fits very loose or slightly tight. I find it fascinating that those who are closest to me (family) have not said anything about the weight loss and those who I work with or workout with notice.

Lunch needs to be a BAS with some chicken or shrimp. Dinner will probably be chicken or shrimp something.

Did shopping for Felix and Lily at the mall. Found some cute stuff. I found 2 pair of shorts in a smaller size, two tops (one a button up which I have not worn forever) and a dress (in a Medium!) for me.

Lunch was on target.

Dinner was good if you do not count the glass of wine. Felix loved his stuff and new clothes and shoes. He is thrilled with the 3 books.

Back at the hotel and I've had more wine and a cookie, so totally off plan, but I am not going to get upset. I will go with the flow.

Sounds like a perfectly awesome day. I’m glad you relaxed and had fun. I’ll be curious to see if the wine had any impact on your sleep.

Sleep: 8-2; awkae 1-42; REM 1-31; light 5-29; deep 1-2. Some of the best I have had in awhile. The deep was all in one stretch too.

Up and had coffee w/stuff. DH and Felix went to lounge and let me sleep. Did email stuff. Spent about 90 minutes with Felix in the pool. Then got dried off and changed to have lunch. At at the hotel restaurant and now we are back in the room for a rest.

Felix slept almost 3 hours. He is now back with his parents waiting for the other set of grandparents to arrive. He did not want to leave, but we reminded him he had more fun stuff to do when he got home and Legoland tomorrow.

DH and I will go home early tomorrow morning to start a very busy week for both of us.

So happy you could have that special time with Felix. I’m sure he missing not being able to see you a lot due to distance so these times are very special to him.

Hoping your travel home is uneventful.
