I did go back to sleep for about 2 hours of restless sleep. Got up and got moving with my to-do list. Had 2 conference calls, sorted the advisees and distributed them among faculty to even out the workload. Put out a couple of fires.

Felt good enough to take a nice hot shower, wash my hair, exfoliate, and shave my legs. Did a load of laundry. I think I am done for the day. I should finish proofreading the MSN handbooks, but I am not really feeling it. I should get my suitcase unpacked from last week, but again I'm not feeling it. I think I am calling my list done for the day.

We are having rainstorms to the point that they are worried about flooding again. Tomorrow is supposed to be cool again. Of course, we have been higher than usual with 70s and low humidity. Great for getting outside if you are not stuck in bed sick.

DH had homemade potato soup for dinner and I had homemade roasted tomato basil. I had thawed them earlier in the week. We each have another serving of the soups to eat.

Lots of rain. Hoping for good sleep tonight.

Happy to hear you kept your list short and sweet and knowing when you had enough.

Healing will come and you’ll be so much better for having helped your body through it.

I did not put the tracker on last night. I knew it would be a bad night with the T-storms and driving rain. It was a very restless night of sleep. The morning cough and blow is better than yesterday and finally clear not yellow. I am glad I started the ABX.

We did get flooding in parts of the county as predicted. It is 45 here, so wet and cold.

Today I have a day of pampering. A hair appointment in the morning and then a spa appointment for a pedi and facial. I am looking forward to the facial, as it includes an expensive shoulder and neck massage.

Leftovers for dinner as the refrigerator overflows with food. I am not sure how, since I have not cooked all week. Very Happy

Had a change in plans. My hairdresser is sick, so I was able to move my spa appointment up in the day. Did a quick package drop off and grocery run. Did 2 batches of hard-boiled eggs in the IP - WOW do they peel easy. I think it took me 30 minutes total to cook 24 eggs and peel them. Relaxing time at the spa. Home to start a batch of spiced pecans in the slow cooker - a new recipe I am trying out.

Monday we are to bring 2 dozen treats to exchange with each other. We are also having a breakfast potluck. I am doing mine and another faculty's as she cannot/does not cook. I will be taking deviled eggs and trail mix bars for the potluck. For the treats, I am making bags of spiced pecans and mini carrot breads. I am also baking chocolate chip cookies for an afternoon snack for the graduate meeting and for DH to take to work.

Sounds like taking care of yourself has worked well.

And, for the luxury of a massage, ahhhh

If I had been able to do it when it first started while we had Felix, it probably would not have gotten as bad.

Sleep: 6 hrs of restlessness, but I feel pretty good. Minimal cough and drain off. Head clear, sats back to normal for me: 97-99%.

Today is a bunch of baking and finishing the handbook reviews. If I can fit it in the last appendix for the self-study. I do not feel like I have to get it done today, as I got a text from the boss that she was feeling really bad and was not getting anything done. I told her to stay home tomorrow and she said she couldn't. I told her to take me as an example of what was going to happen if she did not rest. So if she goes tomorrow, I do not want her to breathe on me!

Dinner blue cheese steak, hot crash potatoes, kale with bacon, onions, and maybe carrots.

Bit harsh of me to mention this, but the cemetery is full of indispensable people...

I kind of hope she feels really horrible tomorrow, as it is the only way she will stay home. Mad

LOL!! Laughing You are so right and NO one is indispensable. Tomorrow we have a faculty potluck and treat exchange to start the day. A 4-hour faculty meeting to get ready for the accreditation visit follows and she is not running it. She is reading a verse at the university-wide service, but really anyone can do that - she just wants to be in the spotlight.

Busy day. I made a huge batch of rice crispy treats that I need to cut and bag, 16 regular mini carrot breads, and 8 GF carrot breads that need to be wrapped and tagged. All for the treat exchange. I made almond butter trail mix bars that need to be cut and plated and I need to cut the eggs I hard boiled yesterday and make the deviled yolk filling and refill them. Those are for the potluck.

I have kale wilting in chicken broth with sauteed in bacon fat onions and hot crashed potatoes ready to go into the oven to finish. Steak is coming to room temperature before I grill it.

I packed my briefcase, but have not set out what I am going to wear tomorrow. It will be in the 30s when I leave the house and the high is supposed to be 52-55.

Restless sleep with much waking up: Sleep 3h 47m; awake 1h 13m; REM 1h 5m; light 2h 14m; deep 28m. I do not know why I could not get to sleep last night. I have not napped since last Monday and I was up and moving around all day yesterday. Hopefully, tonight will go better since tomorrow is another early day.

Long day of many meetings. If I do not get done by 3 pm, I will be staying on campus until 7 pm to wait for traffic to die down.

That is quite a lot of food! Are you feeding an army? Sounds good but a lot of work.

Have a good day and do your best to stay away from "her".
