I fear you are correct. I was hoping it would wait one more week as graduation is 12/15.

Sleep: 6h 18m; 1h 16m restless; 52m awake; 55m REM; 3h 27m light; 40m deep.

Staying home today. Working from my bed, but only what can't be postponed. Fever is gone, but the cough and crude continues.

I'm going to see how I feel this afternoon and if I am still coughing (probably will be) I am going to see if the doc will precept my student tomorrow. I am probably going to bow out of the luncheon Friday also. I do have a hair appointment and a spa appointment this weekend that I really want to make.

Texted with pediatrician and he is going to precept my student tomorrow so I can stay home. He also called in some augmentin for me - we both worry about my asthma and any drainage thing that lasts this long.

I did the morning conference call and can tell my boss is not happy with me. I've kept her in the loop about staying home and she has not replied. She made a point of telling everyone on the call that she was at work with a fever, sick, and a fever blister since Monday. Of course, she does not have asthma either. Not sure about Friday yet. I'd like to stay home, but I'm thinking I'm going to have to go.

Youngest found cheaper car insurance by himself, so we will be getting a bit of a refund check. I pay for the year and he paid me monthly. It will come in handy.

Seriously annoys me when people do that “I’m sick and I’m at work so everyone should do the same.” A fever, seriously? This woman is in healthcare! Thanks for spreading infectious disease, moron!

Okay, done ranting.

Thank you for the rant! It makes the unkind thoughts I am having toward her seem more legitimate.

I agree with TW! There are people with compromised immune systems all around and they need as much protection as possible.

Stay home.

I agree with TW also. I think people who come to work with illnesses that could put others at terrible risk are very selfish. They are more concerned with being the "sick martyr" type. Stay home you idiot!

As someone who has a compromised immune system, I want to thank you for staying home! Your boss is very inconsiderate and a health hazard, especially when she has a choice.. Infecting others is not a sign of strength but stupidity. In addition to risking the health of others, it is likely she is prolonging her illness and risking picking up another bug. I applaud you! Now I will get off my soap box.

I hope you feel better soon!

+1 to everyone here.

Everyone knew, don’t come to our house if you are sick, it was far to risky.

Thank you, everyone, for your support. You have no idea how much it means to me. I keep telling myself that she does not have asthma, so the same illness will not affect her the same way it affects me. I am pretty sure that I was on the mend until I went in on Monday and sat with her.

Much coughing last night. Finally got up and took some cough syrup so DH and I could both sleep. Fortunately, he is off today. He has kicked his crud fairly easily - I am envious. Rolling Eyes

Sleep: 10h 6m; awake 2h 36m; REM 1h 37m; light 7h 23m; deep 1h 6m. This is the best I have done in a long time. I had a nice hourish of deep sleep about 0730. It takes about 2-3 hours after I wake up to feel decent and not be hacking and blowing.

In bed working again today. I am not going in tomorrow either - which will make Her even madder, but there will be multiple elderly folks there and they do not need this.

I got the grading I needed to get done finished today and moved pretty much everything else around to the weekend. Tomato soup for dinner tonight with Parmesan crisps.

The good sleep should help. Tell Typhoid Mary to ring me and I’ll give her an earful. You’d think she would show more concern for more vulnerable members of the community!

Cruddy restless sleep last night. Woke up hearing DH get ready for work and have not been able to go back to sleep. So got my computer and caught up my grading and send some emails before checking on the tribe. It is hard to believe but courses close next Friday at 2359 CT. The semester flew by!

So far the cough and blow this morning is not as bad as the last few mornings, so maybe I'm turning the corner on this crud. Another day home working from bed. Steak for dinner tonight.

I am starting to feel sleepy again, so I think I will try to catch a few more winks before officially beginning my day!

I hope you kick this thing soon. It's no fun feeling like crap. I'm with you on time flying by. I can't believe we're in December!

Enjoy your office bed today!
