Sleep: 6h 48m; Awake 1h 17m; REM 35m; Light 5h 12m; Deep 61m. Could have used more sleep, but again I blame it on coughing most of the night.

Felix has been picked up by Grandma. They are spending the day with his Uncle. The house is VERY quiet.

I have 2 things that I must do today:
1. Pick up CSA box and put it away (slight cleaning out of the fridge)
2. Pay bills

Other than that, I am doing NOTHING, but resting.

Resting is the best medicine. Smile I'm so glad you had a wonderful week with Felix - darn it that the cold interfered.

Fortunately, the worst of the crud held off until DH could help with Felix.

Got a nap in. Then started working on a series of pediatric respiratory presentations for the students who got dumped by the faculty who quit unexpectedly. I've got 3 of the powerpoints complete and 1 to go. Then I need to go in and use zoom to add voice for additional information. That will be tomorrow.

Sleep: was restless and almost nonexistent. I am tired!

Cough was pretty bad this morning, must be clearing all the drainage that accumulated when laying down. Up before I had planned because of the cough.

The kids are supposed to come by to get their flu shots prior to driving back to Austin.

Today a couple of easy chores around the house to get ready for the week. Hope to finish up the presentations. Need to pack briefcase and set out clothes for tomorrow.

Chipotle pork roast in the IP for dinner.

Colds...grrr...hope it's better.

I'm having pork roast tonight also. We have the most lovely pork roasts here, like nothing I've ever had. They come with a thick layer of fat that turns into luscious crackling, and are very moist and tender. Almost nothing needs to be done to them - just rub with salt and roast. Love it!

I threw ours in the IP for 2 hours. I know it sounds like a long time, but it comes out tender and shreds with a fork.

Sleep: 4h 29 m; awake 58m; REM 1h 3m; light 2h 36m; Deep 50m. Less cough during the night, so turning the corner. Finally able to get large amounts of drainage out my nose, which is infinitely better than what had been happening. I feel a bit warm, so probably have a low-grade temp going on.

Going into campus, so up early. I hope to get emails sent out to all the adjuncts and get the clinicals covered. I know I have one student coming by to see me. I plan to leave by 2 pm.

Dinner is chicken in the IP.

I got some of what I needed to be done on campus today. Emails sent to adjuncts with available clinicals for spring. I still have several to cover, but I have several adjuncts still being processed. I interviewed 3 potential PNP students to start in the spring. Helped get a conference set up first thing this morning. Then I ran out of steam, so came home a bit early.

I am now stuffy and coughing. I moved everything I was going to do at home to later this week. I was able to cancel the conference call scheduled for this afternoon. I need to throw dinner into the IP in a bit and then I plan on going to bed early tonight.

Sleep: 6h 53m; 2h 23m awake; 1h 3m REM; 5h 27m light; deep 27m.

I was supposed to go into campus today, but I woke up with a bit of a fever, so am trying to beg off. More later.

Did not go in today and probably will stay home tomorrow. I've got no choice about Thursday and the clinic but will have a student who speaks Spanish.

Youngest and wife unexpectedly asked DH, myself, and my parents out to dinner. We had a nice time visiting and a good dinner. I put on minimal makeup, twisted my hair up, and threw on what I wore to work yesterday.

I am not going into work tomorrow and I gave a head's up that I might not make the luncheon Friday. I am playing it by ear. I feel like this is lingering because I am not getting the rest that I need, so if I want to make all my obligations next week, I need to get well.

Glad you are taking time off even though the fam-oriented evening occurred. Sometimes we cannot avoid an important event especially unexpected.

Praying for quick healing. Take care of yourself. You’ve been pushing it for quite a while now. I’m sure your body is trying to get your attention.

Yes, it is hard to get together with youngest and wife with everyone's schedules.
