My boys ate everything. They definitely had somethings they did not care for (onions, raw tomato) but they ate everything.

Sleep: very restless and full of wakeups and tossing and turning.

I feel moderately better but still, have the crud.

Museum went well. Felix ate all of his shrimp and FF for lunch. Dinner was strawberries and banana again. He was okay with us stopping to get me some OTC cough syrup and watching tv with DH while I rested.

Today he is being difficult. They went down for breakfast and let me sleep a bit. I am working on the second cup of coffee they brought up for me. I need to get moving and pack up Felix and myself. Time to go back to the house.

Drive home went okay. Felix is a good traveler as long as we have music he likes playing. Thankfully I have a Queen playing right now and that is one of his favorites.

After lunch, he was still crabby, so we both went down for a nap. He is a much happier kiddo after he slept for 3 hours. I napped for 2. I could really do without the stuffy head.

Getting the bare minimum done for work: keeping up with emails and grading as needed. I have to go in tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it, especially since I got a text from the boss that she is not feeling well either.

Chicken broccoli casserole for the dudes tonight. I am not feeling much like eating, so I may have a mashed yam if I feel hungry.

It is cute when he sings along. He knows most of the words for the songs he likes.

Yam with butter and sea salt for dinner for me.

Felix had a mini-meltdown over dinner and the broccoli having cheese on it. Even picking the cheese off did not help. I put him in the tub and he watched cartoons while he let "Calgon take him away." After his bath, he was ready to eat the broccoli sans cheese and then a lunchable with cheese. Go figure.

I'm catching up on the shows I have taped. He played games on his kindle fire until it needed charging. Now he is in his bed "winding down." I can't say going to bed or sleep as it sets him off. He is yawning so it should not be long now.

Sorry to hear you're feeling below par, hard work while you have Felix.

B was the funny one with food, his elder brother ate everything. But Felix and the only mixing foods he wants to mix really reminds me of B. I missed his youngest years, met him at 5, and he was over some of the worst, but even after we met he did not like mixed food, and certain things on the plate should not touch, which was a nightmare with baked beans!! Even now when we go to his grandparents, one of the few places we have dessert, he has ice-cream in a separate bowl from whatever pudding he has.

Hope today is better Smile

I agree with Val. After being unable to have a bath for the 6 week time period, I jumped in the tub! And then settled into a nice, long, nap.

Hope you feel better soon. Perhaps you should take a long Epsom Salt bath yourself.

Children are so funny about food. Just knowing the problem with mixing food types helps in the long run.

Sorry he is being grumpy while you are subpar and that you have to go into the office.

I am grateful for DH's help with him. We have two sons who do not like their food to touch and eat all of one thing before going onto the next. Kids!

NM, thanks for stopping in this morning. Things seem to be loosening up and Felix woke up cheerful.

Thanks, PPam. It would be easier if his parents would give a heads up or if he could articulate what it is that he does not like other than having a meltdown. I have to remind myself that he is only 3.

Sleep 6h 10m: Awake 1h 44m; REM 1h 46m; light 4h 19m; deep 5m. Good REM, but need more deep. A bit hard when coughing.

When my friend gets to the house, I will leave for campus. Have a difficult meeting with a passive-aggressive bullying faculty at 10 - positive thoughts and prayers accepted. Then several other things to get done including an interview for a new adjunct. Hope to leave by 2:30.

Taco meat something for dinner tonight. More later.

Sending lots of positive thought and prayers along with a little extra patience.

I wish I had your ability to articulate my thoughts as well as you. I read another post you wrote this morning and it was exactly what I wish I had been able to say.

Sounds like a rough day when you are still not feeling your best. I hope it went OK and that the weekend has some R&R built in.

Meeting went relatively okay. I was able to send out the faculty's course assignments so they can do their syllabi. I struggled with feeling yucky all day.

Felix and my friend got on very well. I got most of what was on my list done.

Stopped and got the couple of things I needed so I could have a taco salad tomorrow.

I am very congested, so feel very yucky. I've got Felix packed up. After he finished dinner we finished the Christmas gifts he made for his Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Steven, Mom, and Dad. I had gotten air dry clay and we made heart cutouts with thumbprints for the men and hand cut-outs that I molded around a small bowl for the women. He painted them today. Threw the few things he had worn into the wash so all his laundry is done and now he is watching Hotel Transylvania (again).

Set it up so that I will text "Grandma" when he wakes up, as he has been a bit unpredictable. His parents are supposed to come back by here Sunday to get their flu shots, so will get one more opportunity to see him.

You sure kept your little guy busy! Good for you.

And getting to see him once again is sweetness. You have so long between that opportunity.

Indeed, for all involved in the busy boy's day.
If you can keep up with him you will be a pooped puppy at day's end.
