Smile +1, perhaps "slower" is a better word than lazy?

isn't it funny - it is all so subjective! Lazy in my world means sitting on the sofa all day and only getting up to use the bathroom or find something healthy but easy to eat, and to refill my water glass.

Not having to jump out of bed at 4 am.  Not having to go to the campus. Getting to either wake up without an alarm or go back to sleep after eating some food and coffee.

If I am home, staying in my nightgown all day, not having to worry about feeding DH, doing what I feel like and want to do versus what I should do.

Found two dresses.  I love my Nordstrom Personal Shopper.  She had about 8 long and 3 short dresses pulled and waiting for me in the dressing room.  I tried all of them on and narrowed it to 3.  Then I tried on 2 again and decided I wanted both.  One is a classic black with a sheer netting from above my breast to the collarbone and down into long sheer sleeves with a side slit.  The other is a dark navy short sleeve that because of the way the ribbing is placed gives me the appearance of an hourglass figure.  Both needed some alterations and I will get them next week.

I had to LOL myself when you said “lazy” day.

So glad you found some dresses. Great job for you and your personal shopper.

All was going okay until I got a call from the Dean that our Pedi faculty had resigned due to family issues.  Now I have to cover a clinical group and classroom lectures for the rest of the semester.  Fun times, NOT!

What fun, a personal shopper.  You have spoken of this before I know and am so glad this works out for you.

Good grief just what you need another job on your plate. Try to have fun with it. Might be good to be back in the classroom for a bit. Smile

Yes, I enjoy just going in and trying things on that have already been picked.  I do some internet shopping too.

Fortunately (or not) I am not going to have to teach.  I have found someone to teach the face to face course, working on getting clinical coverage, and probably will just pick up the online patho class.

Sleep 5h 47m: 2h 4m awake (no surprise there), 24m REM, 5h 14m light, and 9m deep (no surprise either).  I am looking forward to daylight savings time tomorrow.

Spending the day at home (except to run and pick up CSA box).  Doing a lot of organizing of my time and avoid the things I do not feel like doing.Laughing

Meatballs, sauce, caulirice for dinner.

CSA box picked up (cucumbers, squash, cabbage, lemons, blackberries, pears, plums, apples) and put away.  Dry cleaning picked up and hung in correct closets.  The second load of laundry started in the washer.  Thinking about a nap.

Took a short nap.  Put out a few fires.  Graded the online course of the faculty who left.  Made meatballs and sauce with caulirice for dinner.  The cream cheese stuffed meatballs were very good and the sauce was roasted garlic forward.  All very tasty (and guaranteed to repel vampires!).

Haha, re: vampires.  I noticed my friend moved a tad away from me at the movies last week and wondered about my breath.  Of course, I did not ask.

The food sounds amazing.

I always have sugar free mints and I use them multiple times a day, especially at the clinic as kids are brutely honest and will tell you your breath stinks!  Laughing

Re: Moving Forward Toward Better Health part 3

According to the tracker I had a very restless night.  I feel like I slept okay.  I put away my book about 1230 and got up around 730 (830) feeling fairly refreshed.  It is rainy and gloomy today, which in my opinion makes a great day to nap.

Today I have a few quick things to do around the house (set out ironing, get a card ready to mail, review my tasks list, set out meals to thaw, try on some stuff, put up air dry laundry, set out clothes and get briefcase ready for the morning and email my cruise guy to make a payment).  Then I will balance the checkbook and pay bills.  I have a boatload of grading in the research class to get caught up on.

Dinner will be beef short ribs started in the IP and finished in the oven, slaw, and maybe some of the squash from the CSA basket.  Before I get started I am going to look at how to do a refrigerator pickle since I got a boatload of cucumbers in the CSA basket yesterday.

Bedtime needs to be reasonable as I am getting up at 4 in the morning tomorrow.

So far no curve balls!  Think I have everything immediate covered for next week.  Did not have to balance the checkbook as it seems I had already done so.  Bills paid and most of the list complete.  I need to start on the grading. Sad

The life of a dedicated educator.

So organized and I'm so jealous. I always thought I was organized.

I think working helps with that. Many friends comment on how much they got done when they worked and I always seem to agree. Perhaps I ought to join the workforce again. Often seeing Help Wanted signs that look desperate; honest. Today's: "immediate hire" at a restaurant.

I think having a to-do list and plotting it on a calendar helps me get stuff done, not that I am employed.

No wild cards today!  Got everything done on my list.  Had multiple emails and texts offering to step up and help cover what needs covering.  Got to love when you work with an awesome group of people who pull together to get the work done.  Very Happy

I will say this weekend has resulted in several glasses of a red blend and more than a few Reese's peanut butter pumpkins. Embarassed
