I hear you on the sleep front.  I was sleepy all evening and laid down on the couch.  I should not have because when I got up to my bedroom I could not sleep.  My CPap say I was on it for 4 hours but I got up midway through the night for about 2 hours.  I feel groggy this morning.

I guess it is a good thing I do not have one of those (forget what they are called) to track my sleep.  It may depress me.

Hope you get through the day and can get a good night's sleep this evening. You certainly deserve it.

Have the best day you can Pedi!

You’ve got your hand full today.
Thanks, NM. I figure it will take 2-3 weeks before the swelling goes down.

I got all the meetings done successfully.  I got the piles on my desk sorted and into files.  Now I just need to clean up the files, but I am getting closer everytime to having stuff organized. Shocked

A swollen tummy doesn't sound like any fun at all. Sad

Yes, I actually feel like I am chipping away at it.  My table and the chairs are clear now, too.

No, it is not Tomi.  Finding clothes to camouflage it is even less fun!

Chose to sleep in and then rush through the morning.  Tracker says 7 1/4 hours sleep, 57 min awake, REM 91 min, light 4 1/2 hours, Deep 75 min.  So a much better night.  Interestingly I did have one 6 oz glass of wine before bed.

Today I did my last classroom observation.  Wrote out 4 evaluations and reviewed and got signatures on two.  Had lunch with the Dean and caught up on stuff.  Got all the minutes written from last month, agendas put together for the 3 meetings we have tomorrow and had an impromptu meeting regarding the new curriculum.

Busy day tomorrow.  I give my presentation for promotion at noon.  I need to fill out 2 more evaluations and then give the last 4 faculty theirs before I send them all to the Dean - a full 2 weeks before they are officially due.

Did not sleep well last night.  5 hours 7 minutes; 1 hour 50 min awake, 30 min REM, 4 1/2 hours light, and 0 Deep. I knew I tossed and turned, but I thought I got some decent sleep for 2 hours.

I have 4 meetings, my presentation, and the 4 meetings with faculty to give them their evaluations (2 of which I am not looking forward to).  I did finish writing the last two yesterday. Up extra early, since the first meeting starts at 7 am.

I hope your presentation went well today and that the promotion happens

So sorry you had a couple of rough evals to get through, I hope they went better than expected.

The presentation went well.  they unanimously voted for me to go forward to the provost.  All 4 evaluations went well.  One threatened to quit and I told them to speak to the spouse, pray, and get back to me on the 31st.

Awesome news on the presentation. What are the next steps?

So sorry one of your rough evals threatened to quit. However, things not nipped in the bud never improve, so good on you for dealing with it straight forward. Hopefully after they have time to consider what you’ve said, they will realize that a small change in their methods is not worth looking for a new job. Unless of course you’d prefer they move on.

Have a great day.

The next steps are the promotion binder goes to the Provost with the committee's recommendation.  He reviews it and then passes it on to the President of the University, who does the same.  Two out of the three need to agree to the promotion.  I have done what I can do and now it is out of my hands.  I will not hear anything until possibly April.

I hope the faculty at least finishes out their contract and does clinicals in the spring, but they will probably quit, which is probably be for the best.

Sleep last night: 8 hrs, 73m awake, 79m REM, 5h light, and 102m Deep.  I guess getting that presentation and the evaluations done helped!

Today I am covering the clinic while the doc is with his mom celebrating her 80th birthday.  I have one of my students and probably a PA student.  Hopefully, it will not be crazy busy.  I really would like a slow, steady day.  Tomorrow will be the same, but with only the PA student.

Now my focus at work will change to the self-study for accreditation of the MSN and the prospectus to add 2 MSN tracks and an RN to MSN, where RNs with an Associates Degree finish the program with a Masters in either Admin/Leadership or Education.  I want both of these done before Thanksgiving.

Students were fantastic.  Finished up a bit after 3 pm.  Abdomen hurts, bruising is pretty extensive.  Hope the clinic is as easy tomorrow.

Oh - I'm so sorry you are hurting. I can't imagine maintaining your schedule and being uncomfortable/in pain also. Sad big hugs!

8h 3m sleep; awake 96m, REM 123m, Light 4h 11m, DEEP 108m - all good but I was deeply asleep when my alarm went off, so I am feeling foggy.  Showered, drinking coffee, trying to get motivated to finish getting ready for the clinic.

This weekend, I really want to get FNP 3 developed and to production, I have lunch with mom, dogs to the groomer, assorted errands, and pack for our trip to EP.  I am hoping to have some downtime while in EP.

7h 42m; Awake 1h 51m, REM 1h 51m, Light 5h 18m; Deep 33m - it is the lack of deep that is making me feel draggy today.

I rearranged my weekend so that I have a slower start today.  I still need to run errands (drop off return, pick up alterations, bank) today.  This afternoon I left time for a nap if I need it and then will balance the checkbook and work on FNP 3 tonight.  I want to get FNP 3 done so that I can bill for the work.

Meals this weekend consist of cleaning out the fridge in preparation for going out of town for 10 days.

Holy hell, lady, you’ve had a busy month!! I bow down to you, as it’s been a very long time since I was operating at maybe 70% of what you do (when the boys were young and in soccer and full time work with travelling hubby). I assume EP is El Paso, didn’t catch what the trip is for. Hopefully holiday and down time.
