Re: Moving Forward Toward Better Health
Sounds like you had interesting and then fun times after dealing with the problem... no surprise there. *hugs*
YT is messing around, changing things up...
and yes, I do remember it's your & your hubby's song, 'Don't let him go' since you've told me so
... all kinds of trivia in my head.

So sorry you had to have one of the hard convos. That’s the absolute worst in my opinion. Glad the day could improve from there.

Re: Moving Forward Toward Better Health
Thanks, NM and LB. I am going to have to have another hard conversation today with the first semester students. She who left did not give them the head's up that we were changing to a different system to ensure success with their certification exam. It is a rather large expense and they are having difficulty understanding why we are requiring it.
Off to get ready to go.

Re: Moving Forward Toward Better Health
It actually went very well. Once I explained that we had taken 2 years to consider the pros and cons and then listed the cons, they were okay. We figured out a way for them to pay in payments, which was one of the biggest issues.Narrowminded wrote:Hope your convo with the first semester students went well.

This spring schedule is complete and as far as I can see done. Tomorrow I need to do the summer schedule.
I do not plan on an early day tomorrow.

Re: Moving Forward Toward Better Health
Change of plans today. I am not going in. I'm having stomach cramping which is going to keep me home.
I got 53 minutes of deep and 1 hour 40 minutes of REM last night.
I'm trying to do some computer work, but am not sure how much will actually get done.

Pedi - I hope you are feeling better. Stomach troubles are the pits! I only read back a page or two, and my understanding is that you are in academia? I used to teach medical transcription and medical assistant students. I really enjoyed that job.....until I didn't. The school had pretty lax attendance policies that led to students only having to show up about once every 3rd week to keep their financial aid. In an 11-week class, that means I saw them 3 times the whole term..... yet the school wanted me to do whatever it takes to help them pass. SMH. It just wasn't fun anymore!

Yes, I am in academia and I have a clinical practice. Schools have some weird expectations that do not always align with what faculty thinks. I am lucky that I teach online only now. I did not really like the F-2-F classes.GiGy wrote:Pedi - I hope you are feeling better. Stomach troubles are the pits! Thank you, PPam. It is worse than last year, because of the added job responsibilities. It will get better once we are through September since everything seems to be due this month.perennialpam wrote:Sorry you are feeling unwell. Hope it leaves quickly.

DH is going out of town this weekend, so I will not have to worry about cooking or anything. I am working on rearranging and clearing up the weekend too.Meant2Move wrote:Sorry you don't feel well and glad you are easing off for the day. Take care.

I shifted a significant amount of stuff away from this weekend. I will have some stuff to do, but nothing like I had planned.Narrowminded wrote:Happy to hear you are feeling a bit better and did make it home. Take time to rest and relax this weekend. I mean real rest.

Re: Moving Forward Toward Better Health
I did not wear the tracker to bed last night, but I felt like I slept okay. I got up about 9. Unpacked and did a load of laundry. Balanced the checkbook and then sent DH off for the weekend.
Went to my hair appointment. Started to feel poorly part way through it. I started to have some cramping again, felt light-headed, and broke out in a cold sweat. Managed to get through a quick cut, pay, and drive home. Went to bed for about 2 hours and woke up feeling better. I am not sure what is going on, but I am not thrilled with what is going on.
Reworked my calendar again. Paid bills. Did some assignments for the mandatory how to teach online class I am having to take. I bet I've taught online longer than the instructor. Thankfully it is only 4 weeks of torture and I have completed the first week's assignments already.
Dinner was leftover meatballs, tomato sauce, and Parm. I have enough for tomorrow if I want and I could put it with some of the Eggplant slices I froze last cook day.

Pedi - UTI? Sometimes not always accompanied by the urgent need to urinate.
Hopefully today finds you better w/o any issues.

Pedi - meant to share this link with you. I found the article quite interesting on the types and length of sleep we get or should be getting.

Thank you, NM. I think I did not take the time to eat enough and then just ran out of steam. But, I will go see someone if it continues.Narrowminded wrote:Pedi - UTI? Sometimes not always accompanied by the urgent need to urinate.
