ONTARIO wrote:I don't understand the mentality of upper management like in your hubby's case. I used to work in Human Resources and one thing we were very big on was employee job satisfaction. It is well-known in the HR world that it is much more cost productive to keep a trained, seasoned employee than to have to fill the position. Even with the lifetime health care it is still more prudent, financially, to keep him. His value far exceeds the cost of health care. Besides the logistics of it all, I don't understand why anyone would want to create such a hostile environment full of such drama. People just boggle my mind sometimes. Sorry this is happening to him. It must be very hard for him to bite his tongue.

We've been through a hostile work environment before and he held his tongue and did not file. I on the other hand, with his okay, wrote a letter to the city manager about the incredible waste of electricity being mandated by the precinct captain taping all the light switches on. His rationale was officer safety. Because of the complaint, he had to meet with me. I told him I was even more concerned that officers who carried a weapon and made life and death split decisions were too dumb to turn on a light if needed. He had two witnesses in the room during our meeting and they both had a very difficult time keeping a straight face.

Got the electric bill paid and a shower with hair wash done. That started a pretty good coughing attack, so more cough medicine and rest for now.

So glad that your husband has support from his supervisors at work. That situation must be incredibly frustrating for him and the others he works with.

I hope you feel better soon!

Positive thoughts that the one new supervisor doesn’t cause chaos. Great to hear his immediate supervisors have his back. That means a lot.

Started audibly wheezing out of no where. On third round of 2 puffs bronchodilator. Seems to be easing up. At this rate I'm going o have to have DH bring my nebulizer.

Adorable as always... however the pics show too large for me, enough to catch the cuteness (which is a given Smile ), but not the whole pic... nobody else?  confused

Doesn't sound good at all.  Sad Hope this clears fast Pedi, and you get to enjoy your off time with your friends a bit more before it's back to work again. It's about time your Summer of Health gets a fair start. Wink

The pictures go back and forth on size depending on laptop or iPad. Thanks for fixing them, LB. As you can tell the two of them had a fantastic time at the reception.

I have DH bringing my nebulizer with him tomorrow. The inhaler is helping, but I need this to get gone now, as I do not have being sick on my schedule! Razz

Got about 5 1/2 hours of decent sleep before waking up. Working from bed and will try to get another 2-3 hours when friends leave for work. Was supposed to meet a friend today for dinner, but am going to cancel due to cough.

Nothing much planned for today other than putting out fires as they come up. I am still finding booby traps set by she who left.

DH is off today after working 10 days straight. He plans on a relaxing day too.

Wow more booby traps, what a person is she who has left. Something else.

Praying for quick healing.

Thank you for the prayers, NM. I will take them.

She was a piece of work and wanted to make sure that people got the perception that the school will fall apart without her and beg her to come back. FAT CHANCE on that!! I am getting really good at apologizing, explaining we have undergone some administrative changes, and I am working on the correction/fix.

Finally got through all of my outlook mail and cleaned it up into 3 folders (reference, private, contact groups), tagged everything into categories, and then assigned task dates as needed. I feel so much more in control of everything that is coming in now. The cool thing was learning that I do not have to file like old, but can file where I can search keywords. I can pull up different categories of tasks and check on where I am with them (I like the @waiting and @home ones).

Still somewhat wheezy off and on. DH should have my nebulizer here by noon tomorrow.

Glad the nebuliser is on the way. If you weren’t a highly accomplished practitioner I would treat you to a stern lecture, but you already know it, having given it yourself many times.

Those kiddos are ADORABLE!!!

I'm sorry you're all wheezy now - that sucks! Hopefully the nebulizer will kick it to the curb and you'll be able to enjoy your time there.

I had my dulera and xopenex inhalers and they were doing the job at the start.  I started antibiotics and prednisone when I had the fever and cough started being productive and deep.  Pushed water, rested, and continued my daily singulair and zyrtec.  I was doing what I could, but now need to step it up.

Thanks, we think they are pretty cute, too.
